Velavan was a member of the ThinQ IIE 2016 cohort and thinks that the course marked the beginning of the second innings of his life as a learner. He is the co-founder of Qrius Learning Initiatives, an organization that mentors teachers and designs academic programs on literacy and numeracy. Velavan facilitates inquiry and critical thinking sessions for secondary school students at The Aalam, a Montessori school in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
